Assistant professor of science education, Department of Teacher Education, Michigan State University
Stefanie Marshall, PhD, is an assistant professor of science education in the Department of Teacher Education at Michigan State University. Her research engages organizational and system-level questions that examine how policies and decisions about science and STEM education impact the science and STEM experiences of marginalized youth. Her background as a middle school and high school science teacher and her role as a district manager for an educational service provider in Michigan greatly inform her research and practice. Marshall strives to engage key decision-makers and policymakers to disrupt the status quo of limited opportunities for marginalized youth to engage in the sciences.
